Who is Chevy Chase?

Chevy Chase is an American actor, writer, comedian and producer. Born on October 8, 1943, in New York City, Chase began his entertainment career in the late 1960s as a writer and performer on comedy sketch shows such as "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" and "The National Lampoon Radio Hour". He soon moved on to star in his own television show "The Chevy Chase Show" which ran from 1977-1978.

Chase's big break came in the form of a role on "Saturday Night Live" in 1975. For three seasons, Chase portrayed numerous memorable characters including the dim-witted Weekend Update anchor and the bumbling President Gerald Ford.
